It is cultured, not just churned
The cream is fermented before it is clarified. That changes the aroma and the texture. The label puts it as “crafted for enhanced aroma and consistency”, and that is as far as the claim goes.

The culture has a name
AB704 is a proprietary Direct Vat Set culture from ABsource Biologics, which develops cultures for the dairy industry. Most ghee will not tell you what set it, because most ghee was not set by anything.

It is made from Gir cow milk
Gir is an indigenous Indian breed whose milk carries the A2 beta-casein variant. That is a description of the milk. We make no medical claim on the back of it.

The ingredients line on the jar reads: Gir Cow Ghee. Nothing is added to extend shelf life. The label states no added preservatives, and so do we.
